The stinky backpacker
I'm Tijmen, from the Netherlands, and my girlfriend always says I smell. Whether she's right I can't say, but she did inspire the name of this blog.
I grew up travelling a lot with my parents. That never really went away. Expensive but great hobby.
In 2025 I packed a bag and spent about six months backpacking through Asia. I started writing on Polarsteps as a joke. My friends said I'd quit after a month, and honestly I thought they might be right, but it turned out I actually really enjoyed writing about the trip.
This blog is basically the love child of that and my hobby for web design.
