Stinky Backpacker is a personal travel blog run by Tijmen (referred to as "I" or "the blog"). This privacy policy explains what data is collected and why.
What data is collected?
This blog uses Google Analytics 4 to anonymously understand how visitors use the site: which pages are visited, for how long, on which device and from which country. Google Analytics collects anonymised data for this purpose, including truncated IP addresses, browser type and behavioural patterns.
There are no contact forms, no accounts and no newsletters. You don't send me any data unless you email me directly.
Why is data collected?
Solely to improve the blog. I want to know which articles are useful, which pages load slowly and how visitors find the site.
How long is data retained?
Google Analytics retains data for 14 months by default. See Google's privacy policy for full details.
Is data shared?
Not by me. Google Analytics sends aggregated data to Google's servers. I do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
